⚠️我們每天都在用，但我們真的了解它嗎？

​🌱 什麼是棕櫚油 (palm oil)？
✔ 棕櫚油是一種植物油 (vegetable oil)，來自油棕樹 (oil palm)
✔ 廣泛應用於 食品 (food)、化妝品( cosmetics)、清潔用品 (detergents) 及生物燃料 (biofuels)
✔ 便宜 (cheap)、穩定 (stable)、不易變質 (resistant to oxidation)
由於以上的好處，棕櫚油被大量使用，超市架上超過一半的商品都含有棕櫚油，需求量相當大。

🌱 環境問題（environmental issues）
80% 的全球棕櫚油來自印尼 (Indonesia) & 馬來西亞 (Malaysia)，這些地區的雨林被大規模砍伐來種植棕櫚樹，直接威脅野生動物生存。

🦧 因為棕櫚油種植而受害最嚴重的動物主要是 東南亞雨林的物種：
1. 紅毛猩猩（orangutans）
2. 蘇門答臘虎（Sumatran tigers）
3. 亞洲象（Asian elephants）
4. 馬來貘（Malayan tapirs）

📌健康問題（health issues）
🚨 棕櫚油含有高飽和脂肪 (high saturated fat) 可能影響心血管健康 (cardiovascular health) 💔
🚨 高溫精煉 (refining at high temperatures) 產生有害物質 (toxic compounds) ☠️

含有棕櫚油的食物：
1️⃣ 榛果巧克力醬 (Nutella)
2️⃣ 餅乾 (biscuits & cookies 如 Oreo)
3️⃣泡麵 (instant noodles)
4️⃣炸物如薯片 (fried foods)
5️⃣乳瑪琳與奶精 (margarine & coffee creamer)
